what is new in Trimble Novapoint
Trimble Novapoint is the design toolset in Trimbles extensive BIM solution for infrastructure projects – allowing civil engineers to effectively design all aspects of modern roads, railways, tunnels, bridges, water and sewer.
With Novapoint you can build a complex model of the infrastructure most efficiently – including 3D terrain surfaces, 3D sub-surface layers, and 3D structures such as buildings, bridges, road signs, cables, vegetation, etc. Intuitive and highly effective functionality makes it possible to view the model in plan, sections and 3D.
Novapoint is integrated with the BIM server and collaboration platform Trimble Quadri in an easy-to-use way. Together they comprise the industry’s most comprehensive BIM solution for infrastructure design. All Novapoint-products require connection to AutoCAD.
Novapoint 2023 is for Civil Drawing and AutoCAD & Civil 3D platforms 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023
If you use Model Server, this version can only be used with Model Server 3.0 or newer.
Models created with Novapoint 20 or earlier versions, will be converted on opening in Novapoint 2023 and can ONLY be used in Novapoint 2022 or 2023. If you need to work on the model in Novapoint 21 or 2020, then it need to be opened and upgraded in that version the first time. After this the model can be used in combination with newer versions, but it will not be possible to open the model with Novapoint 20 or earlier versions again.
