PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition v20 update 2

PLAXIS 2d v20 update 2

Plaxis is an advanced finite element software for deformation analysis and stability and is used in geotechnical engineering projects. Usually in important geotechnical issues, an advanced behavioral model is required to model nonlinear and time-dependent soil behavior depending on the intended purpose.

The PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition Update 2, featuring the new dongle-less licensing called Subscription Entitlement Service and is now available through Bentley’s Software Downloads page.

PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition Update 2 includes:

  • Conversion tool for migrating projects from 2D 2010 through 2D Classic (*.P2D) to the 2D CONNECT Edition (*.P2DX)
  • Export of mesh and output results to the PVD format for subsequent use in ParaView software (Technology Preview)
  • Reduced file size due to storing single-precision instead of double-precision floating-point numbers for intermediate steps
  • Added buttons to the main tool bar for easier access to Projectwise and Bentley Cloud Services
  • clearmaterial command to remove assigned materials from structural elements and soil
