If you have already installed previous version of Parallels Desktop and modified hosts file adding command lines to block Parallels Desktop updating, you need to delete these lines in order to setup the latest version and sign in or register Parallels Account successfully. Otherwise you’ll can’t login or register to use Parallels Desktop for trial. The ways to delete these lines in hosts file is as follows:

If after installation and at the first start you will see the window “About activation …”, you should do the following:
– Complete the program completely
– delete the licenses.xml file in the following path:
/Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.xml
