• Simplified Licensing & Functionality Groups
  • Altair reorganized PSIM’s legacy modules into four core functionality groups:
    1. Power Supply (includes digital, thermal, renewable, EMI, optimization, power supply design suite)
    2. Co-simulation (adds SimCoupler, ModCoupler, VHDL/Verilog, MagCoupler)
    3. Code Generation (automatic embedded code generation, hardware-specific wrappers)
    4. Motor Drives (motor control design, HEV design suite, etc.)
  • This streamlines workflows compared to the older fragmented module system.
• Integration with Altair Twin Activate 2026
  • PSIM solver blocks are now available directly inside Altair Twin Activate, enabling co-simulation of power electronic systems.
  • Includes demo circuit libraries for quick prototyping.
• Enhanced Code Generation & VHDL Support
  • Unified code generation dialog for embedded and VHDL export.
  • New VHDL ModelSim co-simulation block allows parsing and simulating any VHDL file.
  • Added synchronous blocks for VHDL-compatible circuits and digital filter blocks optimized for VHDL export.
• Wrapper Code Generator Library
  • Provides generic blocks for hardware-specific code generation, making it easier to deploy models to embedded targets.

• Continued support for converter loss calculations, motor drive efficiency, EMI analysis, and analog/digital control.
